Former Red Bluff HS star Payton Edwards completed his second season at Shasta College, batting a team-leading .356. Playing in 29 games for the Knights as a sophomore, Payton posted a .438 on base percentage as well as a team high .500 slugging percentage. His average would have placed him sixth in the Golden Valley Conference had he tallied enough plate appearances.
