CATCHING UP WITH THE 45s

After a successful opening weekend, the Colt 45s have played nine games and hosted a three day youth baseball camp. Here’s the recap!

June 3rd, 4th, 5th series vs. Seattle Studs: The Colt 45s faced a tough opponent, dropping all three games of the series 6-8, 2-3, and 4-8 respectively. We saw great crowds and were happy to have Shasta Regional Medical Center, Redding Rotary, and Foothill Little League as our respective nonprofit partners of each night. June 3rd was the first ever Flash Mob so click here to check it out!

June 8th, 9th series vs. Novato Knicks: The Colt 45s split the series, taking the first game 5-2 and dropping the second 4-5. On June 8th, RHP Brandon Lupton was the winning pitcher with Seth Kaneen picking up the save. OF Andres Alburjas and INF Chase Larsen each hit a home run. One SAFE Place and Cottonwood Little League were the nonprofit partners of the series. Cottonwood Little League hit a few home runs of their own as they sold 1,400 tickets, the most ever by a nonprofit partner!

June 10th, 11th, 12th vs. Redding Tigers: After a last minute schedule change, the Colt 45s faced the Redding Tigers in a three game series. The weather was beautiful, the park was packed, and the bats were swinging! The 45s swept the Tigers 12-2, 24-4, and 14-6. Haven Humane was the nonprofit partner on Friday and they even brought two rescue dogs along, one of which was adopted! West Redding Little League night on Saturday was a success as young athletes sporting their jerseys could be spotted at every turn.
